  Service Meeting Week Starting January 2, 2006

  song 5. note: congregations are not to move their service meeting for the week of january 2 to an earlier night unless the circuit overseer is visiting.

  in every congregation, the convention insert should be considered on the service meeting as scheduled.

  if there is a circuit assembly this week, book study overseers should announce the convention location and dates at their regularly scheduled book studies.

  Some elders even reserved rooms for their friends. I was sick of staying far away. Then I'd use priceline and get a better rate for the place across the street. I guess I wasn't very spiritual but I sure got to sleep in and save $$$. Bad me, bad me!

  okay, i know that in our world technologies come and go, and those who come are knowcked immediately by the next best thing, but check out today's google logo:.

  it is in braille letters, and if you click on it you get articles about braille.

  i think this company kicks serious ass for being willing to change their site logo to educate people more.. props to google!

  after leaving the jws as df/ed or disass/ed were you willing to expose them for what they are to others, or were you unwilling to do so because you still felt respect for them for being the "truth"?

  I try to complain and educate but it is like talking to a wall. even trying to get agreement on common points gets me nowhere as when they see I'm trying to attack their religion by reasoning with them they'll suddenly claim ignorance or say they don't believe that or say well that was how it used to be or my elders are not like that. They are all brainwashed and in denial.
  
  Even a good buddy who has faded and smokes and lives with his girlfriend cringes when I imply anything unflattering about the witnesses. Nobody wants to know the truth as then you have to admit you were duped and dumb. That is the first step in recovery after stopping all the propaganda and control and constant bombardment of BS at the meetings.

  i remember hearing of a faithful older brother who was attacked by vicious dogs while in service.

  even though his clothes were shredded and he was bleeding he continued walking door to door to finish his assigned territory for that day.

  Stupid drivers who suffer from testosterone poisoning

  late last night i was driving up a major highway with three lanes going north.

  at one point three "clever" people decided it would be fun to all line up across the three lanes and slow down.

  they managed to bring the flow to traffic down from 70 mph to 45 mph for about 5 minutes.

  I hate people that drive slow in the fast lane. The blame is the first car. The most flagrant offenders are as follows (in the USA):
  
  People that drive japanese cars
  Men 40-60 with beards
  Asian drivers
  
  I've done so much driving lately and all a$$es driving 60 in the 65 fast lane fit those profiles 90% of the time. In Mexico the fast lane is for passing only, not having a picnic like in the US!

  what did you do with your literature when you left?

  i burned my literature except for the wt cd which i sold on ebay.

  i did not want to just throw the literature away as i did not want the trash man to read it and become a witness.

  I dumped them in the trash after people saw the collection on the shelf and would ask what are those. I still have some tracts from the 50's (or a long time ago, well before I was born) that maybe I could sell one day. I kept the bible in english and spanish, the interlinear and the reasoning book.

  i am friends with a divorced woman.....(true to myself, because i have once been one i share my time with one so she isn't so blue and "alone").

  she visits me and shows me her online dating sites and the things "guys" say about themselves.

  it's quite entertaining and we laugh together as she shares me her online "winks".. one was from a guy that is "fiesty and sassy".............

  I agree that online dating is a last resort. I've perused pix and profiles and the real thing is the best deal unless you are shy or have some social phobia. Many lie, with the most common lies being already those mentioned of bald guys, old guys, married people, using pix from when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and fat chix. But then again if you aren't any of those, why join their world? I think it is a western world, US phenomenon as it hasn't caught on yet in latinamerica like the craze in the US. I've seen tv ads for online dating sites in the US!

  FREELOADER PIONEER SISTER USING MY STUFF BUT I GET YELLED AT!

  my mom's got this pioneer sister friend who stays at our house every weekend (she stays in some remote town that's far away from the hall) and i go into my bathroom cabinet this morning and she used up half the bottle of daily oil control cream for my face i had in there.

  i mean ladies, you already know how expensive those things are!

  and i would always just use a pint size amount so the bottle was filled to capacity.

  Don't get mad, get even! We had a freeloader roomie like that in college. Take the empty or near empty bottle and replace it with (use the imagination).
  
  Next, you can't wait until she uses it and you'll laugh your head off and can always place the decoy bottle out for her visits.
